Montgomery is a bustling upstate New York country community about ten minutes from the cities of Middletown and Newburgh in Orange County, New York. The village is central to the Town of Montgomery and is named for General Richard Montgomery. Montgomery who was commissioned as as Brigadier General in the American Revolutionary War and led an army into Canada where he captured the city of Montreal.
