The Town of Newburgh is located approximately 60 miles north of New York City. The Town is 45 square miles and includes part of Stewart International Airport. The Town is strategically located at the junction of Interstate 84 and New York State Thruway Interstate 87. The Town of Newburgh is located at the northeastern extremety of Orange County, the fastest growing of New York State's 62 counties, and the only County in New York which borders both the Hudson and Delaware Rivers. The Town of Newburgh is also home to George Washington during the last 18 months of the Revolutionary War, the nation's first state historic site includes an excellent museum, the 1887 Freedom Tower and splendid views of the Hudson River.
